Raindrops Are Falling On My Racetrack - Rust´n´Dust Jalopy Teterow 2011 [English Subs]
Raindrops Are Falling On My Racetrack - Rust´n´Dust Jalopy Teterow 2011 [English Subs] from faust & heisler on Vimeo.
Last year we missed it. But it seemed certain: We had to go there! The gallery on http://rustndust.de looked promising, so we were looking forward to this event for nearly one year. After our successful debut: "Chromjuwelen En Route" it was for sure, that we wouldn´t just go there as spectators.
We wanted to do a movie about this great race. Unfortunately we underestimated the "summer" of 2011. The race was canceled due to rain. Lots of rain. And rain again..
Velvetone, a great band from Northern Germany who was also playing at the gathering, kindly shared one of their songs with us:

Rendezvous - The Murf
Rendezvous - The Murf from Scott Benson on Vimeo.
A story about growing up in the universe.
A music video for the band Rendezvous, made February-March 2011. They pretty much gave me carte blanche to do whatever I wanted to do, and this is what came out.
A long write up about techniques and meanings can be found here. You might find it interesting.

Check out Rendezvous. They are super rad. The Murph single has a bunch of awesome remixes as well.

In 1972 Ed Catmull (founder of Pixar) and his colleagues created the world's first 3D rendered movie, an animated version of Ed's left hand. This is the film that they produced. It includes some "making of" footage (around 1:30) and some other early experiments. Read more at http://nerdplusart.com/?p=1106.

Finlandia "The Evolution of Perfection"
Finlandia "The Evolution of Perfection" from UNDO on Vimeo.
Undo teamed up with a Finnish production house Komia to create this spot for Finlandia. The film is directed by Juuso Syrjä.
Fluid simulation was used to create the impossible shots where the vodka would rise up and form the shape of the bottle. A fairly complex setup was made in Realflow to direct the fluid growing, and a lot of growing collision geometries were used to move the digital fluid to match the shape of the bottle.

The Schwarzenegger Trilogy
The Schwarzenegger Trilogy from Brainbow on Vimeo.
The Animations: '5 4 3 2...', 'Galleria' and 'come on... get down' which is a Gangsta rap feat Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger.
The 3 short animations all hand-drawn 1600 frames cell animation with Highlighters used for color, it was hell to make but we love the final videos!
The first video '5 4 3 2...' is a series of continuous hollywood explosions edited into a simple beat.
The second 'Galleria' is a cut from Terminator 2 which is one of my favorite scenes from any movie.
The third 'come on... get down' is a original gangsta rap with lyrics provided by Arnold himself and music created by Harry McGowan
The short films premiered at the Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles as part of Cine-Shorts which is a bi-monthly series that aims to provide a platform for local directors + aspiring filmakers making their mark in the city of los angeles.

Bridge
This is my animation Thesis Film done during my time at the Academy of Art University 2010. :)
Bridge is a story about four animal characters trying to cross a bridge, but ending up as obstacles to one another in the process. The moral behind this story revolves around how there are often disagreements or competing paths in life, and the possible results of pride, obstinance, and compromise.
Music by Greg Gauba.

London International Animation Festival 2011 trailer
London International Animation Festival 2011 trailer from Bianca Ansems on Vimeo.
The London International Animation Festival wanted a trailer to celebrate their upcoming animation festival and their new home, the Barbican. LIAF is the UK's largest animation festival, showcasing more than 250 films annually and screening over ten days and nights at Central London cinemas from the 26th of August to the 4th of September. To find out more about the festival please visit http://liaf.org.uk
Both me and Daniela Negrin Ochoa have made a trailer for this year. Be sure to check hers out too! http://www.vimeo.com/26226167
This year's focus theme for LIAF is 'cutout'. Inspired by my previous animation 'AIRMAIL' and the BBC Blue Planet documentary 'The Deep' I wanted to try and create an exploring experience of the London Thames. For all we know, there might well be jellyfishes and octos in it!
