Originally I wasn't going to post this, but I found an old animation that it reminded me of (below)

The way it moves reminded me of this short, which I hunted for after seeing Ken's Hoonigan video, and then, just randomly, I stumbled upon it today.

I wish I could have seen more of the wood block texture in the final, or maybe just the wood blocks themselves.. I feel like the process is way more interesting, but didn't really show in the result. reminds me of the wood block animation , where all the animation was burnt into woodblocks,and then the blocks were filmed for the result.
